moving house

Tonight will be my last night in montrose (the name of our house as presented on the stained glass above our door) I like to think of it as montrosie. The movers are coming to shift me tomorrow morning at 9am and I haven't started packing yet! I was up till 1.30am last night painting my new room but I have to go back over to new house to do a second coat before I move in and what am I doing right now? Bloggspotting! tis addictive.

I don't have the internet set up at the new house yet, poo poo, so this may be my last entry for a while which may be good coz I'm kind of running out of things to say...

Except that Kerry and Jen arrive on monday and tuesday, hooray! Can't wait!

House Party

Last night we had a house party as we are all moving out this week (sad, boohoo). Was very fun, I got to use my new punch bowl set that I bought from op shop in west heidlberg. All the photos are odd and very close up. Hmmm, not got much to say except that I love Kevin Bacon in footloose. Me tired and hungdover....

Happy home job.

This will be a bit of a shallow blog entry, also a product plug

I am a blonde so in the past to not have disasterous yellow hair I have had to go to the hairdresser and spend $150 to get it done, this does not even guarantee good colour. Being a student again this year I haven't been able to go to the hairdresser (can't ever afford diet consisting of more than crumpets) and my regrowth has been in a pretty bad way until......

I discovered home dye product that gives you good result, for real! (sorry this is shamelessly girly) It is loreal coleur experte, it is more expensive than normail home dye around $29 but worth it. You do two steps, first an all over colour then you add highlights yourself. To make mine look more natural I didn't do the allover colour allover, i did it like it was highlights to so that my natural colour comes through. Another tip is that if you are doing blond make sure you have an at home toner (purplish stuff) to put in after to tone down brassiness. Must go now, need to write my application for beauty editor at girlfriend magazine "and if your really broke rub raspberry popsicle on your lips and cheeks for a cute flushed look.."

sorry if i've done this twice...

go ahead tom, make my day, har har har ha har!

He he he, today tom cruise made my day. Well actually some pranksters did by squirting him in the face with water from a fake microphone... HA HA HA! Pictured below, sorry bad photo from internet. Tom Cruise is being particularly irritating lately since his new romance with katie (crook-face) holmes. Did anyone see him on oprah? SO ANNOYING! he won't shut up about how happy he is blah blah and how great scientology is and how psychiatric drugs shouldn't be used on anybody blah balh bloody blah, so annoying...

so today when I saw on the news headline that he had been squirted in the face -and got mad about it - I laughed and laughed, har har tom!

Also today I am officially on holiday, Woohoo! after handing in my portfolio of work for the whole semester. Next major task - move house. Can't wait to be moved but hate to moving part, specially as I have an achey knee like an old fogie. Does anyone know what could be wrong with my knee? It is really achey and if I have to stand up with my weight on it it really 'urts (hey just realised at the moment I wrote that weezer sang "this is begining to hurt" from getchoo off pinkerton -still a flavourite on mine after all these years...

so um, yeah

wowee

well what an ovewhelming reacting to my last blog, I didn't think anyone was listening out there....

I haven't got much more to say today except that I painted the bathroom and it looks awesome. It was horrbile bright blue peely mouldy paint and now it is fresh white, ahhhh, it has cool old 50's green tiles which look really good now with the white (stupid previous tenants had stuck ugly fish stickers on them but we got them off)

I worked today and was very busy, people in melbourne are in a soup frenzy. We have soup at work so were victim to melbourne soup riot, am very tired now.

tonight i may watch footloose and..... ruthless people.

Sam, I knew you liked garden state because natalie portman played that song, I liked her character too, but did you not find her annoying when she was doing something oringinal that noone else has don bklaoigowui? I think if it hadn't been super cute nat-port doing that no-one would have like her.

lazzzzy bum

well it's been a while since my last blog entry mainly because I have been a lazzzy bum. I have watched a plethera of movies over the last week, mainly 80's classics like 'pretty in pink' and 'the lost boys' but also some good new films like 'garden state' 'kinsey' 'finding neverland' and 'Napolean Dynamite' all come highly recomended by moi.

Napolean Dynamite is very funny, has anyone seen it? He has the best t-shirts ever. I have also left the house on occasion - on saturday night I went to see "southern culture on the skids' with my friend Justine and they were awesome, great to see jus too, i went to her house and it is so cool, she has the best collection of cool stuff and a giant lemon tree which I am going to invade soon.

uuummmmmmmmm................

Today I am going over to anna's house (soon to be my house too) to paint the bathroom which I am very excited about as those of you that know me well will appreciate , the otherday I was really grumpy and I had a really sore neck and a headache and I started sanding and polyfilling holes and scraping old paint and I was magicallly cured! Renovation gives me life - it is like blood to a vampire.

this may have been my dullest entry ever, appologies

Ahhhh, relief!

Hooray! Yesterday I had my final design presentation for the semester, the one you have been seeing updated images from. It seemed to go really well, they liked my images and apparently it conjured up lots of ideas so that means it was a success. Went out with the class after presentations and got very drunk (hooray was so nice) I have been staying at home doing school work for... forever so It was so nice to relax and booze it up. After they had finished talking about our presentation our teachers came down for drinks too which was really cool, did some drunken rambling about how great they are as teachers, little bit embarrassing..

So here are most of my final images ( i had some with text that bloggerbot won't let me up load) some of you may have read my proposal for this a while ago, its all about turning the bridge into a living organism and then exploring the cells inside. I had them all printed off on 2 A1 posters and they looked really great (if i say so myself) but sadly these posters have to be sent off to turkey tomorrow for the competition (this was all part of a design and architecture comp) and i will never see the posters again, boohoo!

Best be off so I can do NOTHING for the rest of the day

Yay.

Big Slutter

I overexerted myself with school work today so spent the entire evenign watching tele. Though ems and jan would like to know big brother is SHIT this year, I know everyone says this at the begining of big brother, but me? Never, something has to be pretty bad for me to think its shit (reality tv wise, serious tv I am very critical of) the premise for this years BB house mates is sexy, single yes they are single, but sexy no, just sluts, all the girls have enormouse boobs they flash around the the overly horny grotty boys and of course there is the usaul BB catch phrase:

"i don't care what people think of me, I just say what I think, I'm really loud" with an added "I have a realy hot body, men go gaga over me, I'm going to mess with thems heads, i'm good at mind games and words, I am an intelligable effluent blonde, i didn't ask for big boobs!"

so don't be too sad, you're not missing out, sounds like shortland st is the winner.

They have also started sale of the century here, can you beleive it?

Hey did you guys know that the host of the amazing race is a kiwi? He used to be on tv shows in the eightys like "that's mildly interesting" or something like that phil koeghan, he did that show "spot on"
